A baby from 0 to 2 years old must be accompanied by an adult  over 18 years old (1 baby only per adult occupying a seat baby journey blog. 2 adults are required to travel with twins for example).

  • A child under 12 and not UM must travel with an adult over 18.
  • The persons responsible for the minor must ensure that the child meets the formalities for leaving the territory and entering the country of destination.
  • Since June 26, 2012, new European regulations oblige all passengers, children and adults, to travel with an individual identity document when leaving the European Union.
  • This document can be a passport or an identity card depending on the destination.
  • It is no longer possible to have a child appear on a parent’s passport.
  • The family record book is not an identity document. He does not allow the child to take the plane.

As of January 15, 2021, any minor traveling abroad without being accompanied by one of his parents must present the following documents:

  • Valid identity document for the minor: identity card or passport + possible visa depending on the requirements of the country of destination (to be verified by consulting the files for the country of destination on the diplomatie.gouv.fr website).
  • Photocopy of the identity document valid or expired for less than 5 years of the signing parent: identity card or passport. Form signed by one of the parents with parental authority.

If the parents of the minor child are European

  • Valid identity document of the minor + possible visa according to the requirements of the country of destination.
  • Photocopy of the valid identity document of the signing parent: identity card, passport or residence permit.
  • Form signed by one of the parents with parental authority.

If the parents of the minor child are non-European

Valid identity document of the minor + possible visa according to the requirements of the country of destination.

Photocopy of the valid identity document of the signatory parent: identity card, passport, valid residence permit or identity and travel document for refugee or stateless person. Form signed by one of the parents with parental authority. Some destination countries sometimes impose additional specific conditions such as a visa. It is therefore advisable to prepare for your trip by first checking the documents requested on the dedicated space of the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the “Travel advice” section.

How to reserve a cradle?

The company Corsair offers cradles (cradles) for babies up to the age of 9 months traveling on its flights only. 

The number of nacelles on board being limited, it is not guaranteed at the time of the request. Online, on the Corsair websites, it is not possible to reserve a basket. You must make the reservation at your point of sale or with our Corsair Customer Service at the numbers at the bottom of the page.

  • Price of the basket: 50 € per trip
  • In Economy class: 2 nacelles on an Airbus 330.
  • In Premium class: no basket space.

How to transport your stroller?

The transport of strollers is free for children up to the age of 2 years. It will be necessary to indicate it at check-in so that it is labeled in the same way as a suitcase. If the child is over 2 years old, the stroller is considered as additional baggage.
